Second Cake Tasting

This time we went to Dream Cakes  Bakery on Holland Road... and the kiddos tagged along. When we walked in, it looked like they were giving away cupcakes. ... it was crowded. Came to find out, they have a happy hour special from 3 -5 pm. All cupcakes are a dollar and cakes are half off.

We loved the everything, especially the strawberry flavor. Oh, and thier Key Lime Cupcake was totally awesome.  

So the price was decent and if bring back a picture of the cake, we get a cake for our one year anniversary. 

Royalty

I told Ryan last night that I want to wear a crown... i got the "your getting carried away" look. Lol. 

My Dad called me this morning and said he is considering an African outfit... sandles, hat,  and all...lmbo. We laughed about it but i hope he was joking. Lol

The Three Finalist

My Dad, Lil Dee... my sister, and Sherice...my Dad's wife,  has been dress shopping.. lol.  They narrowed it down to these three. Anyone they pick will be in black.

My lil sis called me yesterday to tell me she want sparkels in her dress. She is so cute, i couldnt refuse her request. Lol.

Anyway,  things are moving along...quickly.  Even when we take a break from planning,  someone is still planning. Thank God for our family.

First Cake Tasting

We went to our first cake tasting at Sweet Temptations in Virginia Beach Town Center.  I tried them first because I loved thier Spinach Quiche and ate a whole pie daily for a while when I pregnant with Queenie.  Lol.  Everything was great but we loved their almond flavor with cheesecake frosting. Plus they will deliver, set up, and clean up. That's a plus because of our tight decorating widow with the wedding venue.  Nevertheless, we have another tasting in two weeks with another vendor in two weeks before we decide. Anyway,  it was off to a little lunch date at Bahama Breeze.

Snow Delay

Due to the snow, the save the date magnets was delayed.  We just printed the labels to mail. Look out for them in about 3-5 days in your mailbox.  #excited

Wedding logo... lol

This is becoming like creating a business. .. lol.  Ryan designed our "wedding logo". It will go on our custom made items.  Remember our hashtag when posting about our special day... #ryancarlene2015

A sneak peak...

We are sharing a few ideas for our wedding. We thought that it was a simple event to put together, being that we are experts at organizing events. But, I guess because this is more personal, it just became a lot. Well, we want our family and close friends to enjoy a great day with us. The beginning of planning

After we put the deposit down on the venue, we went to David's Bridal to pick out colors. The color we picked is call "Spa". Queenie does not have on that color but we was looking at flower girl dresses for her. 

Venue

We had to take a video of the venue since most of our planning committee is in different states. Thanks to my sister in law, Lien, we was able to use the venue on Damn Neck base. It has a large Gazebo, and the beach just a few steps away.. Along with a lot of room for our wedding. Take a look at the video below.  

Engagement

Months ago, my mother passed down her engagement ring to us. It is suppose to be the start of a family heirloom. For it stay in the family, the ring has to be passed down to the eldest girl when they plan to get married. Its a gold ring with a diamond in the middle and three diamonds on each side. We was happy for this head start.

One Day Ryan, surprised me with a silver ring. I was in so much shock. Well, everyone that knows me knows that I am very diverse. I don't wear silver all the time and I don't wear gold all the time. Ryan made sure I had the best of both worlds. No matter what I wear, I will be able to wear an engment ring.
